Become a Rose Garden Volunteer
VOLUNTEER WORK SESSIONS
Beginning June 16, 2020, we will resume Tuesday work sessions with two opportunities to work in the garden:
9 am-11 am
6 pm-7:30 pm
NOTE We ask that all volunteers wear face coverings / masks while in the garden and to remember the rules about social distancing.
Do you like being outdoors, gardening or meeting community minded people like yourself? We know you would enjoy volunteering in the rose garden.
As a volunteer, you can contribute in many ways to keep the garden thriving. You can help with planting, mulching, dead heading (removing spent blooms from the roses) and other tasks as needed. Volunteer work sessions are held regularly in the garden:
If you’re not familiar with roses, we will teach you the methods of rose culture. Volunteering is greatly appreciated, so come to all or as many work sessions as your time allows.
Please bring pruners, gloves and also a container to put your cut foliage / roses into. There will be disinfecting wipes, alcohol, etc. available in the gatehouse.
